Dear Newlands Community,
It is with both gratitude and sadness that we share the news that The Avenue Café
will be closing its doors on 31 October 2025.
For decades, our family grocery store has been more than just a place to shop – it
has been a gathering point, a familiar stop in your daily routines, and above all, a
place where friendships were built. We are deeply thankful for the loyalty, warmth,
and support ALL have shown us throughout the many many years.
The memories we have made together – the conversations shared, the laughter
exchanged, and the moments of connection – will always remain part of The Avenue
Café’s story.
As we bid farewell, we do so with immense appreciation for having been able to
serve such a special community. Thank you for welcoming us into your lives and for
making The Avenue Café a true landmark in Newlands Village.
