The Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts presents a Classical performance by the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra.
Regarded as the foremost orchestra in Africa, the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, which recently celebrated its centenary in 2014, will once again be performing in this season’s Summer Sunset Concerts. Brandon Phillips will conduct the orchestra with violinist Christina Brabetz in an exciting programme comprising Symphony No 4 (The Italian) by Mendelssohn, Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso for violin and orchestra by Saint-Saens and Symphony No 8 by Dvorak.
“Kirstenbosch is, as always, a fantastic backdrop to any performance, but even more so with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, who transform the beautiful gardens into something magical.” Read Shirley-Anne Bezuidenhout’s review of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra.
